*Out in Indian Country*

If you work in the VSAT / Mobile world, you often find yourself in the *wilds* with clueless operators. You'll be lucky if they even know what a transmission plan is!

There are lots of great websites to calculate pointing solutions, but when the 'shot' isn't up, you either have to do the math, or use software. Here's a free one (the free demo works great, full access costs $).

SatMaster Pro

Enjoy!

Joaquin's Intro

Hey everyone, my name is Joaquin Rodriguez. I'm 24 years old and work for Datapath as a SATCOM specialist. I spent about 4 and half years in the Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. I worked on the 94A, 100A, TRC-170, and Ground Multiband Terminal (GMT). I loved every minute of it but I wanted to move on to something new, so here I am. I'm big on all things technology and autos. I'm from Corpus Christi, Texas. Single, no kids, and loving every minute of it!

Greetings and Salutations

Hello all,

I am a SATCOM Field Support Representative for SWE-DISH satcom systems, currently working in Iraq. I have been working in this field for 12+ years on X, C, and Ku bands, in addition to Tropospheric Scatter Systems. I did 10+ years in the US Army, followed by DataPath (JNN Project), and this is my fifth year in the Middle East supporting the Global War on Terrorism.

It is my pleasure to be a part of this ever-growing forum.

vr,
